Its been a long time coming since we have a had a whitewater festival in Golden. And with a great river like the Kicking Horse flowing right into town and other great rivers around it is time to get the ball rolling with what will hopefully be an on going tradition.
The Kicking Horse is a fun Glacier fed river with 4 sections ranging from class III - V.

The Grande Cache Whitewater Rendezvous is moving back 2 weeks to coincide with the July long weekend as near as possible. it is hoped that this will encourage more people to attend this exciting event in Grande Cache. There are some great rivers to run and not enough time to get to them all. Come and join Jean and the local crew for 3 1/2 days of paddling this year. We will keep the fun going for an extra day through Monday.

Welcome to the Alberta Provincial Whitewater Canoe/Kayak Championships. Everyone is welcome to come and participate or just camp out with us and paddle for the weekend.
This event will be held at Canoe Meadows, Kananaskis, Alberta from August 28-30
We are requesting that all competitors, parents, families, volunteers, coaches and officials register online so we can make adequate preparations for the weekend.
