Alberta's ultimate Club race is turning 5! With athletes from 6-65, this really is a race for everyone (beginner to advanced, youth and adults). It's a fun way to offically start the outdoor season. The race takes place on a side channel of the Bow River at Deerfoot Meadows. It is a perfect paddling site for those paddlers who have just learned how to paddle this winter.
There will be Penguin Prizes and costumes. Waterwerks has a fleet of plastic and glass, slalom boats that people can use, or you can paddle your own river boats. There will be experienced coaches and athletes on the water to help you whether it's your first slalom race or you're a seasoned veteran.
