Women's Whitewater weekend 2025 will be held in Jasper Friday July 25 through Sunday July 27. We will be camping at Whistlers Campground and have secured spots in Loop #9.
Registration opens Saturday April 12. We are limited by the Campground rules with a maximum of two cars and two sleeping units per site so we are asking people to carpool and share sleeping units as much as possible, this will maximize the number of ladies who can participate while also saving you money! We encourage ladies to use the Facebook group to find carpools!
Women's Whitewater Weekend was initiated as a way to make, and maintain, connections between female, transgender or non-binary paddlers within the whitewater community.
This event accommodates intermediate to advanced paddlers; which aligns with our goal to retain women in the sport.
We are supported by the Alberta Whitewater Association and have previously been supported by the Alberta Playboaters' Association. We welcome any whitewater craft to the event but our focus has been on whitewater kayaking.
Our event has ran previously at several locations in Alberta: the Red Deer River (2017, 2018, 2020, 2021), the Brierlies (2022), Whirlpool River in Jasper (2023 and cancelled due to fires in 2024).
