Alberta Freestyle Tour Clinics

Natalie and Leif Anderson are making their annual pilgrimage to Fort Smith, NT from May 28 to June 6. While they are traversing through Alberta, the Alberta Freestyle Kayak Association and the AWA have asked them to make several stops along the way to coach our freestyle athletes and provide some tips to our coaches.

Natalie and Leif have been regulars up in Fort Smith the last several years. Giffin and others from AFKA speak glowingly of their skills as paddlers and coaches, especially in Freestyle but also in Slalom and Downriver. This just dropped into our lap and we are excited about being able to sponsor this Tour to all the best Freestyle waves in Alberta. I know this is short notice but hopefully you can find a way to free up some time to participate for an evening. 

With a special grant to support this program, your cost is much less than it would normally. So jump on this chance if you can. 

The itinerary for the tour is:

Monday night, May 29  Boulder Run, Pincher Creek, AB at 6:00 pm 

Tuesday night, May 30.  Canoe Meadows, Kananaskis, AB at 6:00 pm

Wednesday, May 31  Canoe Meadows, Kananaskis, AB at 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm

Thursday night, June 1   S-Bend, Red Deer River, Sundre, AB at 6:00 pm

Friday night, June 2  Brierlies, Rocky Mtn House, AB at 6:00 pm

Saturday, June 3   Jasper, AB at 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm 

Sunday, June 4   Grande Cache, AB at 1:00 pm

We will give you more notice of the return engagement in September when Leif and Natalie return from the North.
