Trail Wave Rodeo 2024!!!
It's been a long time since anyone had a proper rodeo at this famous fall boating spot! This year, the local Columbia River Rats teamed up with Alberta Playboaters and Alberta Whitewater to bring it back to life. We would love to see you all out there on October 13th, 2024! Expect a jam session style qualifier and classic, two run finals. Bring your shudder rudders and side surfs, clean blunts and air screws, mcnasties and lunars, paddle guitars and party surfs! BRIERLEY'S WHOOP-UP - ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE, AB
Saturday July 20 - The Brierley's wave is known for it's playfulness at all levels and for all levels. It's great for beginners to advanced paddlers! Spins, Loops, Cartwheels, Blasters - you name it, it can be done on this wave. There will be a Freestyle Competition and Freestyle Clinic as well as an Introduction to Whitewater Clinic for those budding paddlers out there. Harvie Passage Open - Sunday May 26
This is the first event of the season on the Alberta circuit and we are very excited to get out on the water as a community and have some friendly competition. We encourage broad participation from folks of all identities and playboating abilities. Find the full details here

Youth Playboating Team
A multi-week program focused on introducing playboating to youth. A collaborative and fun focused training community aimed at junior paddlers in the Developmentals stage of paddler development. Meeting on select Tuesday evenings, the team will receive instruction from our coaches and mentorship from our Junior Freestyle Development Team to learn the basics of playboating.
Junior Freestyle Team
A summer long development program focused on freestyle kayaking. A collaborative and fun focused training community aimed at paddlers in the Transformations and Pursuit of Excellence stages. Meeting regularly on Tuesday evenings, the team will work together with our coaches to acquire and refine competition skills and tricks.
Alberta Playboaters brings you the most high tech and up-to-date piece of gear for freestlye paddlers or beach goers.

Trail Wave Season Opener 2024
At it's best, Trail Wave is silky smooth, offering unprecedented surfing opportunities for novice and advanced playboaters alike. We will be in the area from March 24 to March 31 and are booking 3 hour instructed sessions on any of those days, if the water levels permit. These sessions will be tailored to the participants, with the general goal being to wipe off the cobwebs from the winter, have a ton of fun and start the summer season with a good foundation.
